I am feeling an epic shift right now. An absolutely transformative shift in myself, and this mindfulness community. I felt it while in a deep meditation this morning. The meditation was lead by Tara Brach, a wonderful teacher and meditation mentor to me. In the guided session she said you can restart. You can restart this meditation. You can restart your life. And ooof, I felt that, and I started to cry.
The podcast this week is an immersive experience with deep meditation focusing on listening to your heart. If you are able, I encourage you to take a moment to slow down and listen to episode 42 below. But as always, you may read the transcript below. – XoXo
From any given moment, you can choose to restart. You can’t change the past, but you can restart from this moment and change your path, your mindset, and your outcome. Life is such an amazing and exciting thing, if you allow it to be.
What Are Intentions & How To Set Intentions
Setting powerful intentions is a way to focus your energy and attention on what you want to manifest or achieve. It can help you stay motivated and on track, and can also help align your thoughts, beliefs, and actions with your desired outcome.
Here are some tips for setting powerful intentions:
- Be specific: Your intentions should be clear and specific. The more specific your intentions are, the more focused and effective they will be.
- Make them achievable: Your intentions should be realistic and achievable. This will help you stay motivated and not become discouraged.
- Write them down: Writing your intentions down can help solidify them and make them feel more real. You can also refer back to your written intentions as a reminder of what you are working towards.
- Visualize: Visualizing your intentions can help bring them to life and make them feel more tangible. Close your eyes and imagine yourself achieving your intentions in detail.
- Take action: Simply setting intentions is not enough. You also need to take action towards your goals. Identify small steps you can take to move closer to your intentions, and take those steps consistently.
Remember, Intentions are not goals. Setting powerful intentions is just one step in the manifestation process. You also need to believe in yourself and your abilities, and take consistent action towards your goals. Intentions are your inner-guide helping you show up and make choices that represent how you want to live, and who you want to be.
Here are the intentions that are meant for me this month. I am telling you these because you will see them displayed in my work. By telling you my intentions, I am inviting you in to experience this epic mindfulness shift with me as we transition into a new year. I believe that spreading love with overpower hate. Spreading love with overpower stress and anxiety. Spreading love will make the world a better place. And it starts with us. It starts within us.
My Intentions: I will be a source of inner knowledge for those around me. I will step into my power and connect with people through inner peace. I will nourish my body with amazing and flavorful food from the earth. I will embrace this life with an open heart. I will spread love and kindness into the world.
Meditation For Setting Intentions
Close your eyes and begin to breathe deeply. Long deep inhale through your nose, and slow exhale through your mouth. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Focus on your breath.
Imagine yourself sitting surrounded by a beautiful garden. The flowers opening up and blooming right before your eyes. A sense of new life before you. Breathe in the scents and the feel of the sunshine on your body. Now open your heart. Imagine holding a bouquet of freshly bloomed, colorful flowers right in front of your heart. Open your heart, and breathe in this sense of new life.
Breathe in. Breathe out.
I surrender to the universe. I surrender to my heart.
Breathe in. Breathe out.
How do you want to live your life this month? Don’t focus on what you want to do and what you want to accomplish. Focus on how you want to live. How you want to feel. Let the rhythm of your breath, and the beating of your heart connect. Set your intentions now.
